Deliver CORE COUNSELING CURRICULUM to all middle school students in the areas of:
Provide short term/goal-focused counseling to students in need.
Welcome to CRCS Middle School!
Mission: Cuba-Rushford Central School counselors will equip all students with the healthy social & emotional skills necessary to be independent and conscientious learners.
Vision: Prepare students to achieve academic and future success in a global and collaborative community.
Cuba-Rushford School Counselors updated our K-12 Comprehensive School Counseling Program to align it with the American School Counselor Association's National Model. Our counseling program is working toward facilitating student development in three broad areas:
- Academic development
- Career development
- Personal/social development
In addition to large group instruction in these three areas, our counselors can provide short-term, goal-focused counseling to help students over come issues impeding academic success in school. When students require long-term counseling or therapy, we can help refer students to appropriate community based resources.
Middle School students will engage in career exploration using Career Cruising to begin building a career plan that will follow students through high school to graduation.
Middle school students will also receive Social/Emotional instruction using Second Step. Unit topics: Mindsets & Goals; Values & Friendships; Thoughts, Emotions & Decisions; and Serious Peer Conflicts.

Parent Portal - Did you know that you can access your child's grades at any time? Using the Parent Portal you can check the grades as often as you like. Cuba-Rushford MS/HS does not mail home paper copies of progress reports, they can be viewed through the Parent Portal. Therefore, it is very important for parents to get connected to the Parent Portal as soon as possible if they are not already connected. If you would like more details on this tool, please visit the CRCS homepage and click on the Parent Portal Quick Link tab. There is also a video below explaining how to set up our PowerSchool Mobile App.
Cuba Rushford's District Code is DTWR.
