I want to extend, to you and your child, my warmest welcome to my 1st grade classroom where we’ll be very busy learning many new things. My name is Betsy Pierce and I will be your child’s teacher this year. This will be my 12th year as an employee with CRCS. I was a substitute teacher for 5 years, a teacher’s assistant for a year, 2nd grade teacher, Pre-K, and 3rd, 4th & 5th grade ELA and social studies teacher. This is my 4th year teaching 1st grade and I love this age.

I currently live in Wellsville with my husband, our two dogs Sophie and Peanut, and our cat Logan. I graduated from SUNY Fredonia State in 2008 with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, and I am certified to teach birth through 6th grade. I received my masters degree in special education from Grand Canyon University in February 2016.  On my free time I enjoy doing all kinds of crafts, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
